Rakaposhi, also known as Dumani, is a mountain of the Karakoram range sitting between the Nagar and Bagrote valleys. Remarkably broad at nearly 20 kilometres east to west, it is the only peak on Earth that descends uninterrupted for almost 6,000 metres from summit to base.
