Mohenjo-daro
UNESCO World Heritage Indus Valley city, c. 2500 BCE
Mohenjo-daro, in Sindh's Larkana District, was one of the largest settlements of the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation and one of the world's earliest major cities — contemporaneous with ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. Its excavated streets, wells, and Great Bath reveal a remarkably advanced urban society dating back to around 2500 BCE.
